Privacy Policy

What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.

Last updated November 1, 2026

This policy explains how The Pension Team, operated by Proximo Venture Corporation ("we", "us"), handles personal information collected through thepensionteam.com and through the conversations, appointments and reviews that follow from it.

Information we collect

We collect information you give us directly. On our request forms that is your first and last name, email address, phone number, and optionally the school or district where you work. If you go on to meet with us, you may share further details relevant to a retirement review — for example your employer, approximate years of service, existing retirement accounts such as a 403(b) or 457, and your retirement goals.

We also collect information you provide on a paper questionnaire or appointment card at a workplace presentation, and information you provide by phone, text or email.

Our web pages use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives standard browser data such as pages viewed, approximate location and device type. We do not run advertising pixels, and nothing you type into our forms is sent to Google Analytics. Our booking calendar is embedded from our scheduling provider, and that provider receives the details you enter into it in order to create your appointment.

Sensitive information

Do not send account numbers, Social Security numbers or copies of statements through the website forms. If a review requires those details, we will collect them from you directly through a secure channel.

How we use it

  • To respond to your request and schedule the review you asked for.
  • To contact you about your request and your appointment — by phone, email and text message, including with automated technology where you have given consent.
  • To prepare and deliver retirement and insurance guidance, and to service any policy you choose to put in place.
  • To keep internal records, train our team, and meet our obligations under insurance and consumer protection law.

Calls and text messages

When you tick the consent box on one of our forms, you agree that we may call and text you at the number you gave us, including with an automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded voice, about your request, your appointment and any policy you hold with us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

You can stop messages at any time. Reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. You can also ask any member of our team to remove you, or email us at the address below. Opting out of text messages does not stop us contacting you by phone or email about an appointment you have already booked or a policy you already hold.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. We do not sell or share your phone number or your consent to any third party for their own marketing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except the messaging providers that deliver our texts on our behalf.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only as follows:

  • Our team. The licensed agent working with you, and the coordinators who schedule and process on their behalf.
  • Service providers who run our systems on our instructions — our customer relationship platform, calendar and mailbox provider, telephone and messaging providers, and hosting. They may only use the information to provide those services to us.
  • Insurance carriers, when you apply for a product and only with the information needed for that application.
  • Where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

All of the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. That information is not shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell, rent or share lead information, phone numbers or opt-in data with other companies.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

How long we keep it

We keep lead and client records for as long as we are working with you and afterwards for as long as insurance recordkeeping rules and our own legal obligations require. Records of your messaging consent — including what you agreed to and when — are kept for as long as we may need to evidence that consent, and for at least five years.

Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended gives you the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you, where it came from, why we collected it and who we disclosed it to.
  • Access a copy of that information.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate.
  • Delete information we hold about you, subject to exceptions — for example where we must keep it to service a policy or to meet a legal obligation.
  • Limit our use of sensitive personal information.
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. We will not deny you service, charge you a different price or give you a lower quality of service because you made a request.

Because we do not sell or share personal information, there is no "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" opt-out to exercise.

How to make a request

Email victor@thepensionteam.com with the subject line "Privacy Request", or call us. We will verify your identity before acting — usually by confirming details we already hold — and respond within 45 days, extending once by a further 45 days if we need to and telling you why. An authorized agent may make a request for you with your written permission.

Security

We restrict access to client records to the people who need them, use access-controlled systems, and require our providers to do the same. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
